Concept
Inspired by the turbulence of 2020, this custom ring was designed around a uniquely cut stone gifted by a close friend, incorporating symbolic references to mythical lore.
Design Challenge
The irregular proportions of the center stone required a setting that felt organic and dynamic while maintaining balance and long term durability.
Technical Execution
The ring was developed in CAD, using flowing, tentacle inspired forms to frame and secure the stone without overwhelming its geometry. Structural support, prong placement, and weight distribution were carefully engineered for stability and wearability. The final piece was cast in 14k yellow gold.
Outcome
The finished design merges narrative symbolism with precise construction, resulting in a sculptural yet functional statement piece.
